LADIES AUXILAIRY BRINGS SANTA TO STATION 52
Sunday, December 9, 2007
-
The Ladies Auxilairy held their annual Christmas Dinner at station 52. With the attendance down from last year, the ones that were there had a great time and the kids had a wonderful time. Once everyone was done eating a wonderful meal, Pumper 5 left and returned with the Big Guy, Santa. The children went wild and Santa had his hands full. Santa would hand out gifts to the children and spend lots of time with each one of them finding out what to bring on Christmas Day. The Ladies Auxilairy would like to wish each of you a Happy Holiday and a great New Year. Also a big thanks to Santa.

THE F.V.F.C. AUXILIARY SPONSORED A VARIETY SHOW
Friday, November 3, 2006
-
The F.V.F.C. Auxiliary sponsored a variety show called “Memories” on November 3rd, 2006 at T, J. Elementary School. It was our first attempt at this kind of fundraiser and because of the successfulness, we hope to present a bigger show of this kind in the future. It was a fun evening of music, dance, comedy, magic tricks, etc. Five of the auxiliary ladies did some line dancing and there were local volunteer representatives of the military. The auxiliary sold drinks, popcorn and candy during intermission. We are grateful to all of the participants who shared their many talents, and the many workers of the event, as well as, those who volunteered their time and places of business for practices. A special thanks goes to the director and coordinator, Erma Mason, and also to the sound technician, Ryan Welsh.

NEW LONDON HORSE SHOW
Saturday, July 15, 2006
-
The auxiliary was invited to help the community at the New London Ruritan club for their annual horse show. As a fund raiser the auxiliary helped serve food at the show. Even though this was an auxiliary event some firefighters came to help out throughout the day long event. The auxiliary also received help serving food from two local churches' youth groups, Living Word Baptist Church and Forest Alliance Church. The fire department helped to maintain the show arena by periodically watering down the track to help keep the dust to a minimum. The auxiliary and the fire department would like to thank the New London Ruritan Club for giving us the opportunity to be involved in a community activity and also allowing us to raise money to serve the community.
