The Forest Fire Department has established a pre-plan committee whose goal is to help employers with fire prevention, fire safety, and evacuation planning. By meeting with the businesses and touring their facilities this committee can do two things: one of which is to tour the company’s facility and point out any possible fire concerns and the number two thing is that the department can become aware of possible hazards, the location employees are likely to be, the committee can familiarize themselves with the layout of the building, and location of fire suppression systems that can be aided by Fire Apparatus. With this program if an incident were to happen the Department would be better equipped and more knowledgeable of the surroundings this will in turn help keep employees and the firemen safe in the event of an emergency.
